In late 2007 Cerner opened a new office located in Dublin 17, close to the city’s airport.  This office has been the global base for a successful team of Global Localisation/Translation Analysts, responsible for meeting the increasing translation needs of our French, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese speaking clients.  Working closely with the established team of translation, internationalisation and localisation specialists at our world headquarters in Kansas City, US, your key responsibilities will be to:

• Translate and manage a variety of translation requests, closely tracking quality and completion of these requests.


• Proofread and review all work completed to ensure accuracy for the local market.


• Assist in the completion of translation validation of Cerner Millennium software.


• Manage relationships with Cerner’s translation business partners.


• Maintain terminology databases using industry standard localisation tools.

Cerner is dedicated to the ongoing professional development of its associates.  As such, extensive training is provided throughout your career to offer you the best chance of success in your role.  Your initial induction with Cerner will take place in Kansas City, Missouri, where you will learn about Cerner’s history, ethos and culture.  In addition, initial role training will also take place in Kansas City.

Qualities and characteristics we look for in our Global Localisation Analysts:

• Fluent English, with native fluency in Brazilian Portuguese


• Degree educated, preferably with a discipline in translation/localisation.


• Translation and/or localisation experience preferred.


• Exceptional eye for detail and accuracy in written communications.


• Experience with translation/localisation software (SDLX, TRADOS) beneficial.


• Terminology management experience advantageous.


• Eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship.


• Willingness to relocate to Dublin on a permanent basis (assistance provided).


• Ability to travel to the United States.
